Need exhaust/catalytic converter help now please!

Long story short, bought the car p0420 code came on right away, finally got the ypipe and removed stock one and the main cat is all busted up with a whole down the middle of it. So what should I do?

Should I buy an after market main cat or will that not be good enough for the o2 sensor since the pre-cats will be gone?
If I do that do I just buy the o2 extender?

Or since the pre-cats are gone am I stuck with getting an OEM cat?

Or do I just leave it for now since I dont have to worry about emissions for at least another year maybe 2?

Thanks, I am working on it now so please some fast advice would be awesome

You can get a high flow cat. It is cheaper, better flowing and lots of options. I have a thunderbolt high flow "bullet" style cat and I love it. For those of us who have to have a cat converter the high flow cats made today are great

Now the car won't run, my battery terminal is broken and I had to rig it so it would stay on the last couple days. Now while running the car after the Ypipe install the car just died on me and everything shut off so I put vise grips on the terminal and it started and shut off and won't start again.

I've been searching and it sounds like it could be the immobilizer but the security light stays off while it cranks. It flashes when car is off like normal tho.

Really need some help here, its a 2000

I did that already, nothing has changed.
Everything i read about the immobilizer is that the security light stays on when cranking but mine doesnt, it stays off, could it still be the immobilizer? But it did start once for a few seconds then shut off then not start again, a common immobilizer symptom right?
I dont want to pay a locksmith to come reprogram the key if its not the issue

Fixed it, I had the front end up pretty high and my gas tank is pretty empty so once I dropped the car down it started up.

You could just wait til the code goes away then take it to inspection. I got a new catback on my 03 for some strange reason my p0420 code went away and hasnt come back for 2 months. It would be on for 3-4 months then go off for 5 days then come back on, I think its clear now hope this helps.
