150k Suggested PMCS? (thx 4 any help)
My father asked me to give his 03AutoMax a 'tune up'. It has had no major services done (only routine brake and oil by me). I am mostly looking for suggestions or corrections regarding mechanical service. TYVM!!
Please add/comment/etc on as you see fit:
transmission fluid change
clean intake manifold and replace gaskets
clean MAF, TB, new filter
new spark plugs
new pads and rotors (needs this already; hawk pads, OEM rotors; i also grease the floating pins when doing this)
oil service (mobile 1 synthetic + bosch filter)
replace coolant
I think the timing chain might be rattling /sigh, it almost sounds like a pinging but happens at lower load / lower RPM. I have to look into that during this PMCS. Hopefully it is just a bad knock sensor (though it is not throwing the code).
Thanks again for any help guys!

that's a pretty good list you got,
I would
-flush brake fluid considering the mileage
-Check your rear valve covers and see if they are leaking since you are doing work around there it will be easy to replace now than later. if you do need valve covers get 6th gen valve covers because they do not fail like the 5th gen ones.
and don't cheap out on the spark plugs and get the better ones. (platinum)
If you want to help save gas I would change the Fuel Filter (and O ring) i had similar mileage when I changed mine and got an instant 2-3 MPG gain across the board.

the intake manifold and gaskets are good to do, i wouldnt touch the MAF or TB because you could be opening a can of worms, when i did my spark plugs i didnt even unplug the throttle body, i just swung it around cause i heard of ppl just disconnecting it or cleaning it and having tons of problems with it, dont even touch the butterfly in the TB look it up.
+1 for the valve covers idea aswell, and if your coolant is brown then it might be worth it to replace the radiator instead of flushing it, there really cheap nowadays, check rockauto.com for the TYC radiator its made by KOYO and its like $60. everything else seems good.
