Extremely Sticky Streering

Hey, guys. I've been having a problem with my steering. The steering is getting 'stuck'. It happens when i drive in general and especially when i'm turning/steering. I've already had incidents where I had to stop the car and the traffic behind me because the car just won't turn. It's really dangerous especially since i'm giving my car to my little sister. Do any of you guys know what the problem is and how I can get it fixed?

Thanks.

The pump was malfunctioning so I had to get that and the low pressure line replaced, that was a different problem I was having with my steering. I got all that fixed but after I got the power steering problem fixed, this started happening. It really made me angry that after paying $700 bucks for the pump and all I still cant have a smooth steering.

Putting the front end up in the air and running the car, turning the wheel back and forth lock to lock should get all the air out. I've never had air bubbles get stuck in the power steering system.

Yea there is no "bleeding procedure" more like you pop the cap on the reservoir and turn lock to lock. Dont know how you would get air in there in the first place though....

You may also want to try raising the front end and turning the steering wheel lock to lock several times with the engine OFF.

It could also be strut bearings. Worn strut bearings would cause unsmooth steering.
