Today I pushed down the gas pedal about half way to accelerate from 30-50 and there was this god aweful chattering sound coming from the engine bay. I don't know what it is but I hate my car to sound like shiat. I'm so sad. Please help me diagnose the problem. It happens every time I get to like 3-4k rpms and up

 

I'm assuming you checked the oil level?

 

Check (hope) balancer or a pulley of some kind.if not start talking to aackshun now

 

What will aackshun be able to do for me?

 

timing chain tensioner is going out ??

 

Sorry I'm not mechanically inclined. I changed my serpentine belt in July along with the tensioner pulley. How can I check if it's the timing chain? And yes the oil level is good.
