350z fuel rail on a 2002 maxima

Will a 350z fuel rail fit my 2002? Look at this on eBay:

Cosworth Fuel Rail Kit Nissan 350Z G35 Skyline GTR

Can I ask why you need a $475 fuel rail?

I'm almost certain it will fit, pretty sure when people were using the stock G/Z injectors on their 2002-2003s, you needed the stock G/Z fuel rail as well.

Fuel rails are no different...I bolted a 350z fuel rail to my stock fuel system with no issue.

Also just to add, 350z injectors fit on Maxima rail with no issue. A 350z rail is not needed if just changing the injectors.

That is correct. Sorry, I'm a little rusty. I was thinking of the valve cover swap needed if you want to use the Z33 IM. Completely different issue. Injectors are direct swap, but you do need some way to control the AF mix.

Note to the majority of the Maxima community. R35 injectors flow much more than you would need unless you're going to be running turbo/supercharger/nitrous.

(almost double the stock Maxima injectors @570cc )

Just a little. LOL.

But with AF control, it is another way of advancing timing.

1. What's 'purple top'

2. Why bother with 350Z injectors?

Credit: Puppetmaster:
(The FWD VQ35DE injectors are different from the RWD injectors, but the DE-K injectors are the same as the G/Zs at the same fuel pressure.

VQ30DE: 259cc
VQ30DE-K: 290cc @ 3.0 BAR (FBJC100)
VQ35DE: 315cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC101, FWD versions)
VQ35DE: 335cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC100, 350z etc.)

In other words, if you up the fuel pressure to 3.5 BAR, the DE-K injectors can also be 335cc
)

3. There is nothing you will ever do with any of the above listed injectors that will require those fuel rails. Ever. Total waste of money, you have no need for them, period.

If you want to use those injectors (still don't see a reason, the difference is minimal between them), all you need is new O-rings.
But if you want to upgrade injectors, only going to 350Z/DE-K injectors seems pointless to me.

1. What's 'purple top'

Purple top is the full color of injector from the G/Z VQ35.

Injectors + something to adjust your AF mix with, like a piggyback unit + wideband O2 or at minimum a dyno + tailpipe sniffer.

Do people even still use dynos for AF tuning these days or has everyone gone wideband?

Ok,.... didn't understand the reason to call it 'purple top', why not just call them 350Z injectors then, or is there another 'colour' that's different?

Thanks!

I just figured in this age of technology and self-sufficiency, maybe most were street tuning. Good point about worrying about where to do it, or getting busted, etc. The most I ever did was a few pulls to redline in 2nd, that means 60 mph.

My guess is that the OP wants a 350Z fuel rail and 350Z injectors because they are from a 350Z. Thats it.

Also, I think this guy is a troll. Either that or he has way to much time on his hands. If he bought anything that he has asked about so far, I will eat my shoe.
