2000 SE Dies when I press the gas/idles hard.

When I start my car it idles very hard. Shakes and stutters around .5RPM and will kill, if I press the gas, lower the windows, turn on my lights, radio, or air condition before letting it idle for a while my car dies immediately. Before, I could let it idle for a few minutes and it would stabilize at 1RPM then I could press the gas and it would rev to 2RPM and I could put it into Drive and it would go. It would shake when stopped very hard though. It would not accelerate quickly at all, Im talking going 5MPS for a good 15 seconds before my car would move. Now, allowing it to idle for 20 minutes wont even work, it still dies when I press the gas. Today, it killed while I was driving.

Any idea what this could be?

Is your check engine light on?

Yes, any engine codes? If so, what are try?

It sounds like a bad MAF and/or ignition coils or spark plugs.

I'd start with coils. Test them, replace the bad ones and see how the car acts then.

Had a similar problem

I had a problem with my 2000 that was similar a few years ago. It was the MAF sensor.
