Water in front door

Ok so Ive done the search on here and I see that its a common issue that the front doors let water into the door. So this is happening to me and ive now gone through my second set of speakers. Through all the searching I didnt exactly find what the cause and fix is for it.... Has anybody had this issue and fixxed it?

It is normal for some water to get into the door. There are drain holes in the bottom of the door so that it doesn't build up. I think that Nissan puts a plastic splash shield in there to cover the backside of the speaker.

Do you have water building up in the door? Or do you think that it is just splashing on the speaker?

the splash shield is actually called a vapor barrier, but what dennis is say is correct. if your are getting a large amount of water in the door, maybe check to see if the drains are clogged, depending where you live, if your in a area where lots of salt is used or more so if the car has been bought where lots of salt is used in the winter, dealers actually open up the door panels and spray a wax based undercoat in the doors to protect it from rusting out, over time it dries, it will crumble and clog the drains, check and see.

and make sure that the belt moulding that runs along the outside glass (between the top door and bottom of the glass), if there is a large gap when the window is up, it can allow too much water in.

Water isnt poling in the bottom of the door. Seems as if its trickling down the inner core of the door and coming down on the speakers. The gasket around the door and the strip on the window are in good condition.

That sounds almost like the water is coming in though the mirror. That shouldn't happen. Is the mirror damaged or has it been replaced?

I don't think the gasket around the door has anything to do with keeping water out of the door.

this weekend im going to try and make some time to maybe remove the mirrors and see if i can tell if there is water coming in from there....probably add some silicone when putting them back in.

Now as for the mentioned sheild for the back of the speakers.... I dont have one on them. didnt have it when I took the factory set out.. is this something i can add to them to protect the Next set.....I dont want to have to buy marine speakers for it!
