My last transmission I was suppose to get got sold after I paid for it and waited 2 weeks to be told they didn't have it anymore. So after I started looking again, I noticed that the 01 AE Maxima's use an LSD manual trans. Other that axle will I need anything else to swap this one into my 2000 maxima? Figured if I'm gonna pay $1000 for a trans it should at least be an upgrade.

 

just need a driver side lsd axle and you should be good to go

 

What about the ECM?

 

ECM? lol no you don't need it, only if automatic.

 

Yes I said ECM I know it doesn't have a TCM. When I asked parts they said that the AE edition and the base model have different ECM's part numbers. I just want to make sure the ECM I have will not geek out because the LSD trans isn't doing what it thinks it should be
