00-01 and 02-03 front doors Whats the difference?

I have a local guy that owns a 01 that wants to buy the passenger doors from my 02 parts car. I have found the rear doors are the same for 00-03. The front doors list 00-01 and 02-03.
Anybody know what the difference is or if they interchange?

did the 5.5gen have side airbags? The body is the same, so no clue why the doors would be different aside from that...

Window switches are different.
Handles are COSMETICALLY different.
Passenger 02/03 Door has AUTO-UP and DOWN feature, whereas the 00/01 only has AUTO on the Driver side.
02/03 Has Auto-Down when you hold the Key UNLOCK, the 00/01 DOESN"T, it may or may not matter, this is all controlled by the BCM.

That's all I know of. Either way, all should work IMO, can't think of a reason why it won't work. The only potential issue would be running the reverse, a 02/03 trying to run a 00/01 door would potentially disable both the auto-down features.

You may have PnP issues, as should be expected, the only definate ones would be the Passenger Window switch, it's most likely a different plug.

The door is the same, the interior is different. The door will fit, but the electronics will not plug in

That is about as perfectly as you could put it!

The only other thing is the mirror, if needed, some had Heated Mirrors, some didn't. But you can always swap the components from the old door if it's not damaged.

I had to do that. I have an 03 car, but bought an 02 door, and nothing would plug in. But the door itself fits fine. Inside panel, controls, window motor and lock all have to be swapped unless you like to splice wires.

I also know that the window glass is different. I know they may look the same, but the attaching tabs at the bottoms are in different positions and are not interchangable between the 00-01 and 02-03. When I got my 02, passengers side window was broken out when stereo was stolen. I found a 2000 at a junk yard and noticed the brackets were different. If you did use the shell, you would probably have to change all the guts/electronics to get it to match.
