Why is the Warpspeed ypipe build quality so bad?

Long story short, had the p0420 thought it was precats, bought the warpspeed ypipe and turns out the main cat was bad so I got a used one and put it on. I noticed while i was down there that at the top back of the flex pipe there was a water stain coming from the weld. Also noticed the resonator was beat up from previous owner and had a hole in it so I took it to an exhaust shop to get it cut out and and just piped. Exhaust guy said they did a crap job putting it together and it wasn't even welded all the way around the flex pipe. He spotted it right away. Im a UPS driver so the place i went was a small radiator/muffler shop on my route so he went ahead and welded it up for me.

Anyway, why are they not made that well? I've read on here before they have buid problems but wow, a botched weld is pretty messed up.

Well that's it, just wanted to complain.

Hmm.. I haven't heard of any complaints in a long time. Do you have pics? I'm interested to see. Mine was great back in the day.

I had zero issues with mine when I had my 5.5 gen, I did shell out the extra few bucks to get the Stainless Steel one though. Fitment and build quality was perfect.

Didn't take any pictures, it is on the top part so it would be hard to get a pic i think. but there was a brownish water stain running from front to back clearly coming from the weld that just wasn't quite finished.

I'm presently running a WSP ypipe on my 98 Maxima, that I installed for the previous owner 2-3 yrs ago.....If supported correctly along with decent motor mounts the flex section should last pretty long! Oh yeah! One more thing,....and not lowered so damn low that now most your driving consist of manuvering around obstacles that could damage your undercarraige instead relaxed fun driving with a decent drop that is still REAL WORLD USER FRIENDLY! Dropped so freaking low is gonna damage alot of your exhaust components sooner or later! You can't avoid everything for 24/7/365........

Way to jump to some conclusions, I sense a lot of anger in there. Let me explain, my Ypipe has only been in for a month maybe 6 weeks now and the car has never been lowered. The guy who previously owned it spent a lot of time on dirt roads and the heat shield for the catalytic converter and the resonator were pretty banged up from said dirt roads. So just so you got it, the ypipe went on way after the damage was done due to bumpy dirt roads.
