Will this part fit my maxima?

I'm looking to replace my digital HVAC unit because it isn't working right. I found this one on eBay. Is this from a max or an Infinti? Will it fit on my maxima?

Here's the listing: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=61887954376

That should interchange just fine, whether it's from a Maxima or an I30/I35.

Yes it will swap out just fine since you have a 2000. The 5.5 gens or I35's don't have the AMB button on the digital hvac because its on the dash so I'm not sure those would work in the 00-01. But to answer your question your good to go with that unit.

Dude not worth it just look at the heater core its different and its behind the dash i would stop right there, besides i have the auto hvac and i cant use my heat and close the vents at the same time cause it turns the compressor on so in the winter i either drive with no heat or i have heat and smell all the trucks exhaust the whole way to work on the cross bronx expressway bumper to bumper traffic. Id trade you!

So I'll probably have to get the approriate heater core. Heck, it's a 13 year old car (built 10/99), it's just precautionary maintaince at this point. I found this write up (Fixing the heater core), and it doesn't look too intimidating. Plus, the only difference (according to the parts diagram on www.nissanpartsasap.com) seems to be this part called "aspirator" but it's only a $5 part. Also I live in rural PA and I rarely close the vents. The only time I do is when there's some nasty 18-wheeler spewing exhaust.
