Valve noise

Hey Guys, I have the 02 SE 3.5, muffler cut off and custom intake (1/2 cold air lol)

I didnt check my oil for a bit and it got low (burns/leaks idk), got thick and i noticed there was lifter tick or something with the valves. It happened at 1500K and when redlining near 6100K. Its happened since I have had the car, but nowhere near as bad.

The noise at 1500k was nothing serious but at 6100k or whatever it sounds like someone drops a bunch of change in my cylinders. Not a good sound.

Well i added a can of seafoam to the crankcase, drove for 300 miles and the noise was then gone. I then changed my oil, 10w 30 pennzoil ultra, and fram ultra filter. I seafoamed once more and then changed the oil at 800 miles.

Came out BLACK.

-Anyways now my oil is full, 5w 30 and I still get this noise once in awhile (nowhere near as bad, very brief)
-I know the oil is clean, it looks new coming off my dipstick
-My engine is not gunked up, had the valve cover off it looks almost new

my question is, what can cause low oil pressure? I believe this is what is causing the issue, I have replaced the PCV. I know for a fact my rear valve cover is leaking, not sure how it would affect anything.

-I also get timing chain rattle on start for 1 second, idk what this means, some say no big deal, but idk

any help would be appreciated thanks!

Anyone please? Could it be the precat or preignition?

1. Precats could be shot and the substrate is loose.
2. You could have a oil burner and need to monitor oil every week. Add just tad above the H on the dipstick to keep the timing chain lubricated.

That could be a start...

Thanks for your reply. Im starting to suspect the precat. Would it make a rattle noise when I let off the gas? (at idle) because i do get a rattle on every down rev near 2K

-What is your advice on the timing chain noise at cold start?
Does this mean the tensioners will deff need to be replaced or is this noise normal?

once again thanks for your reply. this kind of info can save me hundreds..

BTW my car seems to LOVE wen the oil is above the H mark. It runs smoother and has more power.. idk why.. but i always overfill by a QT now. no downsides so far
