does anyone know of a driving light that you can actually see other than the stock bulb or lens? mine is useless and can't see anything with it on a 2000 maxima. does a brighter bulb work? thx

 

do some more searching, and yes a brighter bulb like a PIAA or Sylvania Silver Star Ultras replacements would definitely be better. also check your 10 year old headlights for oxidation and wear. If they are foggy and yellow you should restore them since all the cloudiness is ruining the brightness & output also.

 

I have newer lenses, not foggy. but not sure if anyone has bought some better ones that made a difference?

 

Don't forget to check the headlight aim. Too low or too high can affect the beam pattern on the road quite a bit.

 

I have Maxima 99 with stock light bulb working after 11 years and started changed to Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. They worked much brighter for sure, but also cost me a lot more:

I have OEM HID w/upgraded bulbs and treated headlight lenseI did 1 time 2 years ago and they still look new....I also run HID Foglights .....Having Oem lights is an advantage over anything sold aftermarket period!

 

I love HID for this reason here....Less heat than high output halogens which also require use of high temp connectors....Advice from the wise PIAA are expensive and don't outperform $15 JcWhitney bulbs....That was tested by myself folks....Invest into an Oem headlight and treat with Lightbrite....and adjust aim!
