Sickspeed STS?

Anyone used this "weapons grade aluminum" STS from ebay? It's so cheap I'm tempted to buy it just to see. I know everyone else uses the Ralco with much success, but I was just curious if anyone has tried this one out..

Yeah rod linkage vs. cable linkage.... Trust me though, the throw on the 5 speeds is like a dump truck too....

Lol, it's so upsetting. I wonder why there haven't been any aftermarket STS' for the 5.5's. I've seen shifter linkage mods, but never an actual short rod.

They only make an adapter and bushings for the 02-03. I think you'd be resigned to cutting the actual rod to make it shorter...

Well yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Why hasn't anyone bothered redesigning it and making a shorter one?

It must be a design thing or someone would have come up with something. I'm sure someone with a 5.5 will chime in at some point as to why. What I'm hoping is that someone here sees this thread though and has this "WGA" SS... If it works, I'm buying it.
