Oil cooler leaking???

I believe my oil cooler is leaking on my 02 Max. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if it fixable without replacing...

Check the hoses for leaks first with a thorough cleaning then dry well then run and look.

If you check all the other things that have been suggested and you still beleive that it is the oil cooler, you probably need new o-rings that go between the block and the oil cooler adapter.

^^______ Plus one. Although its indicated that there's only supposed to be one, Nissan actually lists two that are slightly different sizes..... So one would fit inside the other. Not knowing which I needed, I just bought both. Once I pulled my oil cooler off, I realized both would fit. Since I had read mention that even after replacing the one o-ring some experinced a recurrent leak down the road, I decided to use both the o-ring gaskets with just a smidge of black silicone. Dry as a bone since! And given both gaskets together were less than $15, why not for the peice of mind!?

just had my oil cooler GASKET replaced. it will look like a leak coming from the oil filter.. since the filer bolts onto the cooler

took 5 minutes to replace. dont let a mechanic rape you

I had that leak a couple weeks ago, searched the complete parts list and FSM and COULD NOT find the O-ring or it's part number anywhere?? Regardless, I had tighten the filter too much, so it's not leaking anymore, I guess it had to much pressure.
