power windows roll up SLOWWWW....

From looks of it they never rolled back or passenger side windows down lol.. but i jus bought it and the driver window will go up so slow it'll give up n roll back down by itself. the passenger windows takes about 25 seconds to get all the way up n when its raining they roll up and down fine.

What do i need to do? the passenger window wont go up most times i have to help it and pull window back.

i'd dry greasing the window guides first, that usually helps. If it doesn't, you might need new window regulators.

Temperature?

Rubbers that seal the window get very hard especially when unused for a long time. This obviously gets much worse in the winter/cold.
You can try restoring them with a rubber lubricant or treatment, they have stuff specifically made for just that, but unsure the name or where to buy, google that ish.

Then if that doesn't work you can take the panel off and grease the regulator mechanisms, you may have to replace the window rubbers if they stay stiff also due to lack of use.

The quickest and easiest fix for this and I have done this for years is Silicon spray.Spray in window channels and the difference is night and day.

The window regulator may need to be lubricated as well as the guides. The regulator has a nylon belt that rides in a channel.

I would clean all the old dry and caked grease out with brake cleaner and then apply some good quality paste or bearing grade grease.its usally the cold causing this.

I have had this problem with my i30 since I bought it a few months ago. I know it had been driven regularly in the desert for awhile. I am glad this topic can up. On mine I can see that it is the rubber that is holding it up but fortunately it is only a problem on the drivers side front window. I am going to try the rubber restorer mentioned above

I used Turtle Wax brand F21 Super Protecting on my rubber strip at the bottom of the window earlier today. It has never worked so well before. I know I will have to clean the window several times to get the slick cleaning product off of it (it is made to protect/restore dashes and interior pieces including rubber) This may work for you as well
