Suspension Issue

Over the past few months I have noticed that the quality of my car ride has decreased significantly. I really don't think it's my coils ( BC) but I'm going to test them. My question is, which suspension part(s) other than coil would contribute to my ride quality decreasing? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So, what's your definition of "ride quality"?

...other than the coil? How about the shock cartridge for the coils? Or do your tires have enough air?

You need to check them to see if they're leaking, which is the fastest & free way. But like NMex said, what are you considering 'ride quality'? Softer? Sharper on bumps?

My car rides harsh over the slightest bumps in the road. I "feel" the road more than I would like to. It feel as if my coils are blown. My friends are convinced that my coils aren't the issue. I contacted BC and they gave me instructions as how to test them. So once it stops snowing I'm going to do that. I was just curious if any other component of my suspension would make my ride harsh.

I'm going to check my tire pressure. I know my tires aren't the best (40% tread left) but doubt that's the problem.

Well it has been significantly colder over the last few months so that may play a role in this.

What size tires? Low profile tires will get harsh as they ware down. Less cushion on the road will make you "feel" the road more.

I thought feeling the road was a good thing.

Also, bushings can play a pretty significant role in road feel and ride quality. If your suspension bushings are shot then you are not going to get any cushioning as the suspension is traveling and flexing. It will be metal on metal, which doesn't usually equal a smooth ride.

Other than that.... ^What all those guys said. Depending on how bad it is, it sounds like it's probably coil related.
