2002 maxima with 193k and I am barely getting 350 km from a full tank.

OBD reader is telling me

P0158
P1167

All of which in the rear, which the forum is saying isn't important? <-- True or false?



I am unsure of what maintenance the previous owner did. But I know that when the gas cap is off there is heavy rust around the hole and underneath the gas cap area there is also heavy rust... Also there's bad smell of fuel... So is this the result of an old/rusted "fuel system" ?

Any tips on what to do to try and improve fuel economy for cheap?
