Steering wheel replacement?

Steering wheel replacement?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thought this so I figured I would ask for an opinion.
Lets be honest. The 2000 max se's wheel is too big and too touchy. I find it has too much side to side play with too little of a response. Now this is great in the parking lot, but on the highway I find its maneuverability weak at best.
Has anyone solved this problem with a different wheel? I'm thinking maybe a smaller one will help. I don't want to go a small ricer looking wheel though and an airbag is a must.
Thoughts?
Cheers

I've seen much newer steering wheels on older Maximas, but IMO it looks really dumb... Personally, I replaced my steering wheel with a much nicer one off an 03 I35. The newer ones look way way out of place on an older car.

Airbag plugged right in no problem?

Yes. With an I35 wheel, you are only replacing the wheel. The controls and airbag module go back in the same spot. There is one that looks better, but might not work with the stock airbag. It was too iffy to me to buy it, even though I really would have liked to. It was off an 06 M45. Very close looking airbag center, and it's got the bump grips at 10 and 2, but the configuration is just a little different. It might work though being also a 4-spoke wheel. You should check it out.
