Window tilts forward in down position

I just swapped the passenger door in my maxima and i installed my window into it and used the motor and reguator it came with and everything works fine but when window is rolled down almost all the way it dips forward and the back of the glass is pointing up. It feels like the bolts holding the window are loose but i remember tightening them is there other bolts that could be loose on the regulator? What should i look for? I just put this door on i would hate to tear it down again

p.s. On my original damaged door my window worked perfect

My first step would be to pull the door panel off and operate it while watching the window as it lowers into the door. Should give you a much better idea of what's going on.

These regulators use crappy plastic guides to hold the glass level as it travels. There are also felt lined tracks at the front and rear of the glass to help support and keep the glass stabilizes as it moves. However, if one of those stupid plastic guides breaks, you're done.....and that's exactly what's happened here. You're going to have to replace that regulator assembly. If yours worked, just swap it in.

Only when you do, make sure the glass is out or you risk scratching it. Ask me how I know!

I removed the regulator from my damaged door, took me a few minutes 2 gold bolts on top 2 gold bolts on bottom and 3 bolts for the Window motor and it comes out of the lower bigger opening. Surprisingly easy ill install this regulator onto the door currently in my car and ill let you guys know if it solved the dipping Window problem

You should be able to see the broken plastic clip/guide. Absolutely, let us know.

case closed - worn out regulator

ok i swapped out the regulator, i am now satisfied. the regulator was the cause of the window dipping forward. the guide that slides up and down this rail was not broken however you can definitely see it was worn out and it caused a loose side to side movement. i used my old motor and regulator and its back to where it was but my old regulator also had some play but it was very minimal compared to the problem regulator. is there anyway to replace these plastic guides? just asking for future reference. would seem like a waste of money to replace this whole assembly just for the worn out plastic guide.

Not replaceable. Although, I highly encourage you to get creative and find a way to make them replaceable. They would sell!!
