Plastic Stopper behind gas pedal

Plastic Stopper behind gas pedal
Do you guys think that for us automagic owners, if we shave off a little of that plastic stopper behind the gas pedal it would make the engine redline without manually shifting? Wouldn't it open up the throttle body a little more (I've heard the TB doesn't open up 100% under WOT) causing it to redline? If too much was shaved off, the engine could go past redline probably right?

yep.
Logically if you think about it, it should work, but I don't think car manufactures are thatttt dumb. But maybe Greg's2kGLE you could try it for us, and tell us if it did help

I believe you can get the plate 100% horizontal unless you shave off some of the metal on the TB.
You won't be able to go to redline unless the TCM is designed to do so (or if you have so much power that the TCM can't think fast enough).

Doubt it... I'm sure the throttle and shift points are electronicly controlled. I doubt they'd leave a little block under the gas pedal as a governor.

Just my input.

As someone already mentioned, if you shave/remove that stopper you might stretch of even snap the throttle cable.
There is both an idle stop and a wot stop on the TB casting. Besides all that, I have never seen any car that was stock that allows for the throttle plate to be cranked to a completely horizontal plane. It may or may not ipmrove breathing at that point.
