Did you get nice tires or the cheap ones? She might just be upset with you.

if your car has an idle air controller valve, check it

if not, it could be fuel pump and i have read a coolant temp sensor can cause this (idk how rare this is tho)

lets see what everyone else thinks

how many miles? my pump died around 130K

I apologize for what I've done to your thread. I'm childish sometimes, especially when tired and hopped up on caffeine. Please forgive me.

Does your car only appear to have this stalling issue once the engine has reached operating temp.?

I had this issue with mine a few months back where it only stalled at operating temp. didn't receive any SES code at first and then it gave me P0345 (which is realted to the Bank 2 CPS =cam position sensor). Once changed I have not had the stalling issue anymore.

Just my thoughts on your issue.

yes operating temps. both times it happened was after about 30mins of driving.

is the CPS the on that you have to remove the airbox to get to? or the one in the front of the engine?

What year is your Max? if it is an 02-03 there are two CPS sensors one for bank 1 which is loacted just below the throttle body. The second CPS sensor is located on bank 2 just to the left of the tranny dipstick tube, both are easy to access, to remove push to slide the green tab downward to unlock the harness wiring connector and unclip it and then just a single 10mm bolt holds it in place.

Yep. P0340 is bank 1 camshaft position sensor or the rear/left one under the throttle body.

I am pretty sure they both have a green connector. The difference is the back one is straight and the front one the harness comes out at an angle. The job is very easy to do, basically one bolt and one harness.
