2000-2003 Factory Wheels

Can someone tell me what the factory wheel sizes were for all Maxima models 2000-2003? I was wondering if any had 15" wheels. Thanks.

i know 2002/2003 maxima's cant fit 15" rims over the stock breaks. 16" will fit though. cant say for sure about the 2000/2001, but im pretty sure they have the same break set-up, so im leaning towards them not having 15" rims

no, only the 4th gen and older had 15" or smaller rims.

All 5th gens are 16" or 17"

The 2000 to 2001 GXE came standard with 205/65R15 tires on standard 15" steel rims with hubcaps. In 2002 they dropped the 15" steel rim option and 16" were standard.

My 00 came with the factory 15" steel rims with nissan hubcaps but we swapped those out for SE rims about a year after we bought it and use the steel for winter tires.

Thanks for the replies. The previous owner took the factory wheels off which were the hub cap wheels and bought some new 15" wheels at Sears. I'm not crazy about them because they are a pain to clean with all the angles. I'm looking for some factory style 16" wheels to replace them someday. Hopefully since the car came with 15" wheels I won't have any issues with going to the 16".

Some GXEs came with 15" steel wheels. I have 01 GXE I am carrently daily driving and it came with 16" alloy wheels.

Some 2000-01 Se's have these 5 spoke star rims - 16"

And the standard SE's that most people had are these - 17"

2002 and 2003 - Se's came with these - 17"

2002-2003 GLE's came with these - 17"

Hope this helps with the visuals.

The 00/01's can fit 15's, the 02 and 03's have larger brakes, calipers etc etc so they will not fit.

First, thanks for all of the great replies and the photos, they really help. I want to make sure I understand something before I go and buy some wheels that won't fit. Since my car is a 2000 that came with the 15" hub cap wheels will the 16" and 17" wheels fit alright on my car? Someone may have said, but I just want to make sure.

YES they'll fit 16 and 17" wheels just fine. If you want OEM wheels, look above. If you want aftermarket, you want wheels that closely match the offset and size of the OEM ones.

I don't think the brakes changed at all in the 5th gen but maybe I'm wrong
