I swapped in my 01 SE "carbon" tail lights from my other maxi. Also painted the front grill black (not the Nissan Logo)

Should have the new tires mounted on my 18" 350z Touring V1's today.

I'll post some pics when I get them on!

 

Finished my 4AT-6MT swap and ready to start it tonight

 

You know...drove it to work cause it's Friday. Lol
Got planz this weekend though and later on next week.

 

I drove it to orientation for a new job and I'm about to order some things to make it a little pepier.

As for me, i cleaned the connectors on the MAF/TB/Cam sensors/o2 sensors...just trying to find out whats causing the acceleration to vary.

sometimes a rocketship of a beast (100% condition on a cold start), sometimes a biplane buzzing down the road (usually when warmed up)

 

I drove it to get groceries. I'm going to lower it and wash it later on.

Washed to strip old wax. Clay barred, scratch removed, polished, waxed. Headlights restored, interior detailed, tire-shined. driven hard

 

From yesterday... Quick snapped pics, and car is dirty...

Blacked out grill, and installed 01 SE Carbon tails.

 

Fixed the crunching sound my catback was making. One of the hangers had broken off. Still need to install my Walker bank 2 precat, and both CV Shafts for inspection.

 

I looked at it and looked at the pile of parts.went back inside and had coffee.

Yesterday i detailed the **** out of it, then admired the beauty of it then, drank a beer with it lol. Good day in my book!

 

I did an oil change and made an appointment for an alarm/remote start install, fog light/HID and sound system installation.

All i gotta say is that it helps a lot when you know ppl lol

Threw a Maxima.org sticker on my engine cover.

 

Installed these 350z seats yesterday...definitely NOT plug-n-play. Took me around 12hrs total researching the design , creating a plan of action and executing.

 

Whats those out of look comfy?

 

350z seats......VERY comfy

 

They look pretty darn sexy too

 

If you have all the parts it's a breeze man. Least in my 5.5 it was. Most pain was trans mount and the wire harness. Rest is time consuming is all

What I did today. Sat in the driveway making motor sounds and shifting gears. Also put new LED in the inside and rebeld the clutch

 

How much work you know im lazy

 

Basically drilling out these 'stoppers' that prevent the rail sliders from moving too far back. Once you do that you just change the rails from the Max to the Z seats. Z seats are same distance apart as Max seats.

 

Just curious, what did you use to clean the connectors ?

 

Today... The Maxi-Pad got a spray bomb rust treatment, due to the sadness of rust crumbling from every corner. Unfortunately got busted for tint on front windows saturday. Michigan law is just fantastic, so they won. Sad day for the Maxi-Pad. 4" window stripe only.

What did I do with my Maxima today? I watched her longingly. Staring, while watching the shimmer of rain run slowly down along her smooth lines. I then spoke her name: M.O.N.I.Q.U.E. Uhm, yeah...it rained. I did nothing.

 

Fits like a glove.

Um, Hopefully getting my 5.5 back from my mechanic lol with a 06 engine w/ 31k ^__^ excited to have power back

 

I spent Friday on my back taking the Warp Speed Ypipe off and putting a Stock on back on. All the bolts came out no problem - but getting the new bolts in by myself was a PITB. I replaced the bolts because the originals were pretty rusted - but the factory ones have a smaller non threaded section that really help getting it lined up. Getting them new flat top bolts lined up perfectly while try to get them threaded was torture - my arms and back are still sore. Anyone interested in a used Warp speed Y-pipe? The flexible mesh is in rough shape, but the metal accordian section is still fine and no leaks.

 

Almost forgot - while I had the max up on Stands - I also replaced the Transmission Pan. I was surprised that it never sprung a leak - like my Oil Pan. It was very very rusted. I put in new synthetic Tranny Fluid - and it shifts fine. There wasn't any problem before - but always nice knowing ther's new fluid in there. New radiator, themostat, hoses andrear rotors and pads are next.

 

Just put on the touring V1 18's. Sold the stock 17's

 

YEA no more stupid offset stock rims. 18x8 +30

 

Got a tailpipe to the back to follow up with the muffler delete I did a few weeks ago. Sounds great! Tried to keep it looking sort of stock with a y split tip but it whistled an awful whistle so I had to settle with a regular circle tip.

Finally ordered my coilovers

 

Installed FSTB

 

outer tie rod ends, lower control arms, CV boot repaired and a alignment. And tested the 6MT on the highway for first time.

 

Feels good to hammer her into 6th eh!!!
