Stalls after startup

Let me start off by saying I have searched to no avail. I have tried all similar known repairs. This is the wife's car (otherwise I wouldn't care). Any help is appreciated!

For some background on the issue. The IACV went bad (coolant leaking into the housing). It shorted the motor, but didn't kill the ECM. I replaced it with an aftermarket unit, not wanting to sell a kidney (did I say I was the sole breadwinner?). Since, it has required a small amount of throttle input (like holding it @ 11-1200 for <1sec) until it settles out.

No CEL (other than self induced), and idle relearned by a Snap-On Solus pro (borrowed, its good to have single friends).

Thanks in advance for the help!

ur problem isn't clear, are you saying it idles ok after "a small amount of throttle input" or it used to do that but now stalls?

Since the IACV has been replaced it requires a small amount of throttle input for a short period of time. Afterwards it idles without incident.

my Z car had a similar problem once and it ended up being a dying fuel pump, so i'd say check your fuel pressure.

I replaced the filter hoping that wouldn't be necessary. I'm gonna try that next.

Is the Walbro crazy loud in these cars? Being surrounded by the filter and all, maybe they aren't as bad as in earlier model's?

If so, is there a good quality one that's not loud that won't break the bank?

Walbro 255 is loud. I can hear it whining away at idle.

I had the same problem.. kinda... make sure your throttle body is clean of carbon... Mine would stall slightly and the oil light would flicker...

Also replacing your fuel filter is a good idea anyways

+1 for throttle body. Also did you perform the idle air volume learning procedure? If you clean the throttle body, be sure you do it after it as well.
