This kid got under my skin
So just about thirty minutes ago I was filling my gas up on the max when this kid came up to me and said...be honest did u rice your car out....I said no than he walked away. That **** really pissed me off..my car is very clean and by no means riced out...lowered on g35 18s powder coated black and a few other mods...maybe he just has never seen a modded maxima...idk what do u guys think? I just need to rant and see what others have to say? O and also I have been trying to get org stickers...I sent money to the guys PayPal but he still has not taken it

Yeah the black and white one is lowered on vogtlands....just put them on...the rear sits perfect but the fronts still have gap plus I'm sitting on 245 40 18s so I don't know how much lower I can go in the front without rubbing. The rear is nice and tucked though

He probably lost a bet and had to approach anyone who had different exhaust or wheels and ask that question. Feel bad for that kid, he lost a bet and had to look stupid in front of a stranger and risk getting his butt kicked. Poor kid.

Damn man.. totally rice In all seriousness, **** him.. your car is far from rice. Unusual to see a modded Maxima however, yes, and that's probably where he got the idea from. But that just goes to show you his ignorance because he obviously doesn't know what rice looks like..

car is a beauty but you definitely need to slam that bad boy
the dude was mad because he most likely owned a car and riced it out himself....and since he saw yours and noticed how nicely done it was the hate developed in him lol

rice/ricer by definition:
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.
The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined...

Don't worry, there isn't one modded maxima even close to me, usually just a lot of Hispanic civics rocked out as I live right in the middle of chicken country. That being said everyone calls me rice I just chuckle and say rice and import/tuner are way different and smoke the tires and leave them in the dust.

I wouldn't worry about it, I have people every now and then that make comments like "Why would you put money into a Maxima?" but usually those are the narrow view camaro/mustang guys that only believe in one brand. Your Max is not overdone and looks nice and is definitely not riced out.

There are three things that make up a "RICE" Car if there are not these three its not rice
1. Tip
2. Wing
3. Mag
Tip must fit your shoe
Wing has to be at least 1 foot tall
Mag cant be stock
just google riced out civic and you can see well over 1000 examples.

PS: I heard kids talking on the street one day pointing at a GT3 porsche and the one kid said look at that rice wing on the porsche... I almost slapped him.

If someone tries to make you upset about it, you are doing a good job.
a.k.a. Haters/Jealous
Good job on the ride.
On a side note, I am lowered like that also. I am on H&R's and some people don't even think its lowered. This car has the weirdest suspension geometry, the travel is ridiculously short and sits like a TRUCK at OEM ride height. Every other nissan/infiniti platform I have had lowers great and almost tucks tire.
Needless to say, I want coilovers at some point to get that 'look'. I don't drive like I did in my early 20's, so I am not after absolute handling.
