It's probably because of the front and rear skirt, coupled with the black rims. While it looks totally normal here on the Org, it's not a common look in the real world. Every rare once in a while, I'll see a 2001 AE with full skirts, and it still turns my head as something unique.

Your car is fine. Light weight, high HP, stylish and still sedan-practical. Enjoy it and ignore the random hate from kiddies at gas stations.

Didn't look like AE skirts to me, but the idea still holds. Your car will look totally normal at Maxus, but to someone with an eye for cars in the real world of daily drivers in suburban parking lots, it will stand out as unusual.
