So my 01 i30 has high miles, 220,000 to be exact, and its inevitable that something goes wrong soon. Well when i got my AC recharged a few days ago it high revved non stop, and sometimes in park when i just tapped the throttle it revved to 3000rpm and stayed there..also when braking it felt like it wanted to keep going. So i brought it to the shop today but it did none of those things even when we turned the AC on. Any ideas why it wouldnt reproduce? i Figured MAF or IACV at first..but idk.

 

Almost sounds like a vacuum leak which wouldnt make since because all you had done was the a/c recharged.

Just for fun you might try doing the TPS/idle relearn procedure and see if that help some.

Reply back once you've done this to see if that fixed you issue.
