I recently purchased a 2000 Maxima. The driver seat is not moving up or down, all other seat features working. I can hear a noise but no movement. Is it a simple fix?
Also, is it a difficult task for me to change the rear bank of spark plugs? In my previous cars they were all easy to get at.

The lift motor gear might be stripped in the seat it happens more so if there is a heavier set person using the lift portion of the seat over there life of the car. Not to say anyone one was just observation of ones i have seen since it a greater strees on the gear.

Easiest thing I've done is get a gear from a junkyard seat and swap it in easier then dealing with the track.

As for the spark plugs since you have a VQ30de-k you can easily replace the rear spark plugs with out removing the intake manifold unlike the 02 to 03 Vq35.

You basically have to lay on the engine to get back there but just remove the ignition coil connector, remove the 10mm bolt for the coil pack , remove the coil and use and long extension and remove the plug. I've got it down to about 10 mins to replace the rear plugs if i have them pre gapped waiting beside me.

 

If you were local to Dallas I'd offer to sell my front seats. Great cloth, seats work perfect.

 

Only would be interested if it matches the light tan leather I have now. I do prefer cloth seats. I won't be up in Dallas till late July though.

 

Oh yeah no then...charcoal cloth. Maybe nishfish would sell you his tan leathers after we install Z seats

 

a33nismo, Thanks for the info. I mistook the three green connectors along the back for the injectors. In that case they're easy enough to reach.
