Advice on Maxima (keep or sell)

Hi,
we got rear ended in philly by an 18 wheeler. its mostly just rear bumper damage.

Its a 2000 GLE, with meridian pkg, 92k miles. Its in good condition except it has the P420 code again and the exhaust has a big hole.

Insurance company is sending a check for 1800 for us to fix or we can keep the cash. I took it to carmax with the damage and they offered 1700 saying it may have frame damage.

I really want the maxima back to drive. more fun than the camry. So I thought he is the chance to get my wife another car, have the maxima and camry to drive. Maxima for funner days and camry for those family trips where we need the bigger trunk and better gas mileage.

Feel like at this point the damage is not terrible so I just rather not fix it and keep the cash. the 1700 seems too little to give up on a great car...

Let me know your thoughts....

Thanks,
Michael

......So the total value is $3,500 for a 2000 GLE with 92K miles, to me it's a good deal. I'd let it goes.
I currently selling 03 SE with 92k miles in mint condition and the dealer only offered $4,300 as trade-in. I'll try to Carmax this week.
