And I was thinking this whole time, "Where is he getting an 80 mm throttle body from?"

One suggestion. I recommend doing the throttle relearn procedure. I noticed my idle jumped up more then usual. I did the throttle relearn and it is idling like it should. It should increase mpg since idling eats gas.

Upon initial start up, my car will idle high(around 1k) for a minute or two. But then returns to a steady 710ish

well, the BBMAF completely messed up my timing, so i lost a lot of bottom end, and gained nothing at the top end. At this point I still have it on the car but i haven;t decided on how to proceed.

Switched back to a SRI set-up and it fells much more responsive than the WAI I had configured.... And my IAT still reading 13 degrees over air temp at highway speeds.

So, what exactly is the difference between your SRI and WAI?

For the warm air intake I had the filter routed and tucked behind the headlight. And for the short ram I have it right to the mass airflow housing with an adapter. So I shortened it a total length by about 14 inches.

Ahh, yeah I like that set-up best too so far. Which is over a decade or so of fitting and dyoing.

Alright, so come on. What is the best aftermarket bolt on intake? I have read so many different things here. I'm confused!

I haven't done any type of dynoing, since I go by how the car feels I'd say short ram intake takes the cake here..... I have only like 12-14 inches between the filter and TB.

Bolt on: JWT/Stillen,

Best performance: Custom, 77-100mm MAF ID w/ associated piping, not for the faint of heart as it requires addition items. PM me if more info is needed and I'll provide links.

Now let's not deviate from this thread.

I've been reading the same.

Does anybody have anything to substantiate NWP's claims of 8whp on a stock-ish max? I know dyno time can be expensive, but what about track time? 8whp should be good enough for at least a mph, right?

I'd really like to hear from somebody with a 3.5" or 4" intake, but at this point I'll listen to anybody that can share more than a feeling about the throttle body.

Are you talking about getting the 4" MAF tuned with the stock TB, then bolting on the 75mm TB for a final comparison run while the car is still strapped on the dyno? That would be awesome to get that kind of definitive proof.

Just connected my NWP TB...I started the car and warmed it up, my idle eventually came down to 788 rpm...Is the throttle relearn necessary at this point?

Very good..... You will love the top end pull with the new TB. It will give you the Mod bug, it sure has done it to me.

I've had the 7th gen tb on my car for about 3 months now. My manifold has ssim, bop and the spacer kit so I noticed the throttle response is much more responsive and it pulls a lot harder. Even in 6th gear if step on the car and there's no lag it felt like it still wanted to pull. I then installed the 4" intake along with a few other things, street tuned the car and HOLY ****. the car feels like it wants to pull forever, if you have a small intake with the bigger tb you are holding back so much more potential power.

I hate to bring out old topics from the thread but...
Its not illegal in the state of Missouri to operate a handheld device while driving...

Actually here in Texas it's not against the Law yet for non CDL vehicles....Even our cops text and drive, or operate thier laptops in transit!

Hey guys, haven't been on the forum long, but always read all of the forums for a couple years. Just decided to make an account so I can actually have a say on things lol. No one has really said anything about the BBTB. Right now I have a custom 3" SRI, VIAS block off plate on the IM, the 5-piece phenolic IM spacer kit, custom 2.5" exhaust cat-back, ngk lasers, stagg performance struts/ vogtland springs, timing advanced to 17~18 BTDC, probably more I just can't think right now. Anyway, my question is will the new BBTB really make that much more of a difference with the 3" Short ram intake and the stock manifold with the spacers? I feel like the car is getting as much air as it can right now, how will the TB change that at all? Thanks guys. Also, to the guy who said he was loving more of the 3rd gear chirps, what do you have done to yours, because I'm getting third gear chirps as it is right now.
