Another odd problem. (starter issue)

So I went out to my car today in the morning to hear the starter running. I tried putting my key in the ignition and it did nothing, pulled fuses and nothing, so the only way for me to stop it was to disconnect the battery. Could it be my remote start malfunctioning? And i also just replaced my starter so this fricking sucks.

The problem could be either mechanical or electrical. Based on what you say, I lean towards a starter problem because if the starter was getting the signal to spin, this would engage the starter motor gear with the flywheel.

Start by unplugging the thin wire that goes to the starter. If the starter stops, you have an electrical problem. If it keeps spinning, it's new starter time (again).

I had to replace my starter not too long ago. So it wouldn't surprise me if that's the problem.
