Ambient sensor question
I have a 2000 maxima control inside of the car is saying -22 degrees well I went outside and narrowed it down to the ambient sensor. Went and bought a new one and went to install no harness on clip no nothing was out there. Please help haha I'm new to this tread and if nothing else maybe a wiring diagram or what wires to hook to to run to te sensor or run new wires to it just where do I need to hook onto I have searched and searched and searched nothing. Thanks in advance

There was another guy here that had the same situation as you. I put out the theory that his original sensor came unbolted and hung down beneath the car and got torn off.
I looked at my car to see where the wires ran. The wires are in a round plastic tube for protection, see photo below. The tube with the wires run along the bumper cover, all the way to the right (passenger) side, then go up into the engine compartment where it merges into a big thick harness. There are no connectors between the thick harness and the sensor.
Look in the engine compartment, at the radiator overflow tank along the right fender. Near the bottom of the tank, you will see an opening in the inner fender and a big, thick wire harness running in front of it. This is the opening that the wires for the temperature sensor go through.

I would start by going to a junk yard and getting the sensor bracket and as much of the wire harness as you can.
Then connect it following the wiring diagram on page HA-33 of the Nissan FSM. Use the link below if you don't have the FSM.
