you really dont need air tools, just the proper hand tools and some patience. Ive never used air tools on mine but I can understand that for some living in the rust belt it could be a lot more frustrating, though doable

I'm assuming this is for making future oil changes easier?

Could you elaborate a bit on "proper hand tools"?

I think if you get OBX ones you don't need the oil pan but the Cattman stuff supposedly it helps.

The other 2 items are gaskets because the ones that come with the kit suck...

complete socket set and wrenches as necessary. Maybe a few screwdrivers for removing hose clamps and plastic clips. I think there is a how-to header write-up around here. As long as you dont break any bolts off you can get by with a pretty basic toolset. I dont have any air tools and had no issues doing mine, but again I dont have to contend with rust.

Crows feet helped me, little tight in some areas and those helped.

The things you will absolutely need from a socket set include the various different length extensions. You also need a universal joint.

I would also buy a set of ratcheting wrenches. Preferably the ones that have a hinged head. They are invaluable since many times you have your arm stuck up in there and don't want to take the wrench on and off. You can get by with regular wrenches but much more difficult.

I also have a ratchet for a socket and you can turn the handle to turn the socket. Got it at Lowe's. Very helpful.

Nmexmaxmanmannymodmoderator said it the best.

But I'll still throw in my 2 cents

Late to the party, but yes. A million times yes.

Why didn't I put them on my car now?

Performance isn't my primary concern ATM.

But when I'm on the hunt for power, headers are a must for me. I've had many different setups, but nothing comes close.

Stop making me want headers. I already crave a Y pipe too much.

Ehhh, you're in a diff boat.

Since you're RWD it's a bit tougher, and the only headers worth the time/effort/money are the big baller ones that delete the Y-pipe

? We both live in Canada in the same city, what is going on here? If you have OBX headers I might be interested.

I'm talkin' 'bout the maxima fooooo! lol. I still have it. It needs a cat-delete badly also so I at minimum am probably going to put a Y pipe on it and gut the front cat. But headers would be awesome, I need some fuel economy back, and I'm a sucker for powah.

The G will get long-tubes when I finish building the engine in my back room. There will be no more Y pipe when that happens, I'll be going 2.5" dual all the way back. All in due time.
