stock brake rotors..........

ive been reading a lot about the stock rotors warping...how long does it take for this to happen and how can i tell when i need to do somethin about it....after the stock ones warp i am planning on getting some aftermarket rotors anyway (suggestions on what kind!!?) i do notice a shudder when i hit the brakes now...like the steering wheel shakes and there is a shudder feeling in the wheels....mainly i am asking about what type of rotors to get (aftermarket)...maybe stillen cross drilled or slotted rotors? just give me some suggestions.
thanks

usually around 20k and them rotors startin to warp, depends on your driving conditions. The steering wheel shakes and the brake pedal feels like more softy feeling. Its under warrenty so you can get it replaced for free.

well i guess they are startin to warp......

i have 25k on my car....and the steering wheel shakes like crazy...what will i need to take to the dealer to get them replaced? if they tell me they cant do it free im goin with aftermarket brake rotors.....just for future reference what is the best aftermarket brake rotors i can get? stillen seems to have good ones, but is there price for each rotor or for a pair? i would like to upgrade if at all possible, so i wont have to worry about the warping happening so fast and stuff...anyway thanks for the info! i really didnt know that they would warp so soon...20k? thanks a lot!

Warped rotors

I took my car in today, for my rotor problem. They resurfaced the rotors instead of replacing them. That brake kit from eatrice.com is now very tempting.I will make a decision soon.

Dealer procedure is to resurface first... If they find that the rotors are too thin, then they replace it... I had my rotors replaced twice under warranty.. 1st time was at around 8k and second at around 18k... They were b!tching about my painted calipars and only replaced the fronts!!! Went to puong(eatricezone) and took advantage of his brake special... Dealer cost to replace the rear rotors and pads were about $330... Went with puong and saved about $10 including labor....

all you have to do is tell them you feel vibrations when braeking and they should check it and replace it under warrenty(TSB). check out the Sticky threads for TSB, find the one with the rotors....get it print and show them incase they ***** that it doesn't exist or some **** like that...you'll have that printed out and shown to them right in there face...hehe
