Dim Headlight

I got a 2000 maxima GLE, My car was in a accident there was front end damage. The autobody shop repaired the damage, but the passenger side headlight is dimmer then the drivers side headlight. They had to replace the passenger side headlight cause thats were I was hit. Is there something they miss or didnt hook up correctly..

Well, if it's a brand new headlight and it's dimmer than the older one I'd say yeah there's something wrong.

Could be wiring. But check the bulbs in the original vs. the new one because a replacement headlight probably came with some crappy bulbs.

Think about it. Obviously if you change one they would be different. Get two new ones and replace them keeping the dim one as a spare or just upgrade to HID.

Maybe it is aftermarket and not as good of quality as the OEM?

Try swapping bulbs from either side and see if the driver side becomes dim.

Swap the bulbs as TallTom advised. Also double check that the bulb is type 9003.

And very important - do not touch the glass part of the bulb. The oils in you skin will make the glass crack. Clean it very good if you touched it.

Drl

My passenger side day time running light was dim until I re-soldered the drl module.

If your car has daytime running lights I bet that's your problem.
