P0430 replace pre-cat or install main cat

I've been having this code for a few months now. I took it to the exhaust 10/26/2013. When I took it to shop the owner said that i didn't have a main cat and showed me.

the code description
Trouble Code: P0430

Catalyst Efficiency Below Normal (Bank 2)
Possible Causes:

Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes
Catalytic converter is damaged, contaminated or has failed
Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture
Front HO2S and/or the rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole
Front HO2S older (aged) than the rear HO2S (HO2S is lazy)

do you guys think me installing the main cat will erase the code or do you think installing the pre-cat for bank 2 will fix the code. I need to get rid of the code to get my car inspected.

Hello and welcome. Can you pass emissions with no main cat??Anyway you need a Bank 2 cat plain an simple.I just resolved this issue by removing it,gutting it and putting sparkplug
nonfoulers on the O2 sensor. This is hands down the cheapest fix there is and you wont have to worry about this code ever granted the O2 sensor is still good.

You dont need a main cat to pass emissions if theyre using an obd2 test. Only ur precats are monitored by o2 sensors, those will give u a check engine light and fail emissions. If the precats have failed they can be gutted out and u can install o2 spacers or sparkplug anti foulers in order to still pass emissions.
