Stupid idea, but can you just clamp it with some big vice grips from above and remove the nut from below with a socket and some extensions?

That bolt is not loose in the mount. It is secure and doesn't turn.

Appears from the pictures, he stripped the **** out of the nut. So I am assuming w/o any details from poster that he was attempting to drill out the head of the bolt and then replace with a actual nut/bolt combo.

Just my assumption...

I finally got the right mount out. All but that one bolt that passes through the block closest to the radiator came out easily. It took me using a cutting wheel that was mostly used up and small enough to get in there to remove the pitfa bolt. Ended up punching it down through the top where it looked like I had been drilling at it. But I got it!

I would have cleaned the engine compartment when I had the old out but I was ready to get the new one installed.

No more thumppop in passenger front now.

How did you windup stripping that nut? I removed/replaced so many right mounts I don't know how you stripped the nut like that!!!!

It was on really really tight and I should have used a 6 point socket.

Just lucky I guess....
