hi i got a 01' maxima SE (VQ30DE-K) with california spec exhaust.

i removed my intake resonator today and i want to know what this vacuum line is for ..

and heres my ''IDK'' vacuum hose haha :


correct me if im wrong but this is for egr ? or evap ? i dont know.
i plug the hose with a little bolt but do i really need to put it back to the intake or its not dangerous ? or will it throw a code? you guys plug it when you put a short ram ?

i searched alot of intake resonator thread but cant find my answer.

anyone know? This hose go to a little solenoid (2 hoses on it) but i dont know what its control

 

I believe that's part of the swirl control.

 

well i finnally hook it to my custom intake, so i dont have to scare about anymore

Well done. It should definitely be hooked up. I assume you have midpipe in place of resonator since you removed it, best place to hook up all 3 hoses is the midpipe just like in the original setup w/ resinator.

 

no i hook the maf housing to the flex section (so its a very SHORT ram intake)and put a breather filter for the large pcv hose and i hook the vias hose on the flex section.

i will try to build a midpipe with some 3'' exhaust pipe later.
