why need this? just put in the winter fluid solution and things dont freeze up. Unless you are in the antarctic. Plus you run the risk of cracking the windshield with hot fluid

i suggest just running the heat on in the car solves that problem. How often does your windshield gets iced up?

I think this would work well for keeping the fluid from freezing... however I think you'd be far better off using the winter mix fluid. Even if it does keep the water in the tank from freezing, once it hits the lines, nozzles, and windshield, you have ice again my friend.

For what it's worth, the only time I've had a problem with lines freezing is when I've forgotten to purge the water and add the blue or yellow fluid in the fall.

This thing sits outside the tank so it's even more useless.

Just pay the extra $1 and get the winter fluid mix.

just make sure the alcohol in your washer fluid doesnt evaporate. aka make sure the lid of the reservoir is tight. you dont need a heater, i drove in -50c once and my washer fluid wasnt frozen

actually I had "heated" spray nozzles on my old 95 A6 wagon... needless to say I believed to be a neat add to the car... but keep in mind that hot water freezes faster than cold... actually it made no difference in the way it cleaned my windshield to be honest...

Didn't GM try this on their Lamda series but issue a recall due to fires?

That's probably so the nozzles don't get clogged from ice.
