I am eventually going to get a set of enkei rpf1s to put on the max. Has ANYONE put 18x9.5 wheels on a 5.5 that is a member here? just trying to sort out fitment issues if any before i go spending $1500.

 

I have 18x9's and they fit fine... I'm sure there are plenty of people with 9.5's so it should be no problem

 

are your wheels flush up front? i may do 9 wide up front and 9.5 in the rear

 

The million dollar question is what's the offset of these wheels?

 

i was looking at +15 offset and those seem like they will be perfect, though i could definitely use some input

 

I have 18x9+35 with 225/40/18 tires... Bit of a stretched look but no issues

 

+15 is low... Is your car lowered or are you going to lower it? +15 if you lower it you are going to need a fender roll more than likely, unless you stretch the tires on there. if you run like a 245ish or larger tire it will rub.

 

I'd go with the +38 with a 9.5".

Are you talking about your wheels? Which version do you have, I wasn't aware they made an 18x9. And also, not all Z wheels are +30.

Both, given im taking the sellers word for that. Ive never actually verified it but I bought them right off his 350z

 

The are 18x8 +30 all around if they are pre 05, after 05 They are 18x8 +30 front and 18x8.5 +33 rear. I have owned probably 5 or 6 different sets of them. They are great wheels, and you can always get them cheap!!!

 

 

I've had 19x 9.5 and they fit fine. But like people have said the offset is whats key

 

i don't want the wheels to stick out up by the fender at all. I want them to be barely in enough to where they will tuck if i go over a big bump. I will probably get some tein coilovers but im not going to have it slammed. Just low enough so the wheel well doesn't have more than an inch or so gap all the way around.

 

would a +20 or +25 be good for that?

 

It can be done with some work, search essential1 on here, google, etc.

 

I'm looking at some TSW 18 x 8 w/lips and have a 20mm + offset....I'll get out the plumbob, string and tape measure to verify...

+20 or +25 is to low of an offset. Like I said it will also depend on the tire you choose to run as well. If you are worried about hitting the wheel well, go with a higher offset. I will be running 235 35 19 on my 19" Rays they are +30 front at 8" and +33 rear at 8.5" and I know they are going to be very close to wheel well. Running +20 on 9.5" is going to be around the same unless you run like a 225 tire (which will stretch it) If you are going to run a 245 or bigger you are definitely going to rub.


This is 18x8 +30 front with a 225 45 tire. As I read it you don't want to have it this close.

 

Nothing a little pull and some rolling can't fix.

And if you actually read all the post on this thread you would have read that I have own 5 or 6 sets of these specific wheels, and like most can read up to and including 4 digits in a row. 18x8 somehow does not equal 18x7.5

 

Didn't really phase me about your Heavy A$$ 350Z wheels (26.56lbs)...You ought to read more to free up some of that horsepower being held back by all the unsprung weight! That Nissan Wagon Wheel isn't my cup of tea and "If you love them that's You"

 

That is actually almost exactly how i want them to fit in the front and rear. The rear will probably be 9.75 inches wide actually (thinking of just going with some XXRs instead of giving my arm and leg away for the RPF1s). i will probably run a 255 tire in the rear and a 225 up front. I can roll the rear fenders if necessary, but i will probably just try to find a pretty high offset if possible (+44)

 

I don't rock those wheels anymore... I have 19" Forged RAYS that are 21 and 19lbs... but really I don't care about the weight. I am not tracking my car, and it goes fast enough for a front wheel drive car.


running a high offset (+44) should be perfect. probably wont need a roll... and if you do, it will be slight
