I just bought a 2000 maxima se it is fully stock and I want it to sound more agressive. I dont have the money to upgrade the full exhaust system and was curious about what mufflers would give my maxima an agressive and loud sound. Any price range is ok I will save for it i just wanted to know whats available.

buy a hacksaw, cut off muffler, rev to 9798659696859596859 rpm.

I cut mine off after the first bend in front of the rear wheels so it shoots out the side. When I cut it I used a die grinder with a cut off wheel and shaped it as a turn down. Works extremely well and sounds great with the resonator only.

Please do not just cut the muffler. It will sound awful. Do it right or not at all.

funny when reviewing mufflers, so many people said it sounded better without the muffler. I did it temporarily until I get the full exhaust. surprisingly it sounds good, with the size of the stock resonator its not obnoxious. 205K on the stock muffler and chunks of catalytic converter in it , had to go. picked up 2 MPGS too
