Bought cam sensor shaft from Napa doesn't work

for about almost a month it worked fine then my car started shutting off again. I'm right at 30 days window and I don't have the original box and threw away the old sensor.

I'm guessing I wasted money But you think I should try go to Napa and tell them and see if they can exchange it?

I should stuck with the dealer.

Seems like the connector for camshaft sensor won't lock onto the sensor. Anyone know how much a sensor is and how to replace it?

Both are on the driver side on a FWD application! The difference is if you had a RWD 350Z/G35 that's the same as your fwd bank next to the radiator! Apparently you're trying to change to wrong sensor that's the one on the rear bank!

They connector for the camshaft sensor won't lock out tightly to the sensor I'm at Nissan and they don't sell replacement connectors only the whole harness so I'm wondering if it's the sensor that's shot or the connector that is the issue. I don't have a replacement sensor on hand I'll have to buy one.

You shouldn't need to change the plug in.

If your worried about if coming loose because it doesn't clip, then get some high temp tape and wrap it up.

Toss some dielectric grease in there if your real worried.

If I were you and it was just outside the 30 days and you want to try another sensor, buy one and take the "old" one right back.

for reference the green clip doesn't lock and this seems like the problem.

I'm gonna head to napa and see if they have a replacement clip. I don't think it's the sensor since it doesn't LOCK into the connector it seems like it will work better once it locks in.
