Clutch Install Question... Urgent I'm Stuck

First time for me doing a clutch in my 6 speed. When I first started, the clutch release lever had full movement and felt like it disengaged properly. After swapping out the flywheel and replacing the clutch components along with the release lever and bearing, now it seems as though the release lever isn't really moving like it was before. Before it was disengaging now it reaches the disengaging point and does not go any further. Is this normal? I hope this makes sense because I am in urgent need of some advice. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Ok, found out some stuff, learned some stuff by searching everywhere I could:

My old clutch components were toasted, flywheel/disk/pp/tob.. before install I could move the clutch fork by hand, now with everything replaced the clutch fork has only slight play (maybe half inch). With everything replaced and new components, is this the normal operation of the clutch fork? It can only be pushed out by the slave cylinder?
