Hello all! Just traded my '96 740il for a '02 black on black SE. (Yah, I know that was a big switch but it was time for a change)

Have a few questions:
Any good sources for service manuals?
Does anyone make a cold air intake for the '02 3.5 liter yet?
What are the common problems with these cars?

Re: New owner

only answer i can give you is...I THINK the Place Racing CAI for the 2k and 2k1s can be put onto the 2k2 with a little bit of a bracket modification. dmbmaxima88, one of the org's members, has developed his own intake for the 2k2s that you might want to check out. www.frankencar.com

as far as common problems with 2k2s, its hard to say because people have only had them for short amounts of time so far. the only thing ive read that i see as a "problem" is the driver's side seat heater switch acting up. but that is very minor. its no 750iL but i think you'll like your maxima.

Welcome!!!!! Im sure that you will enjoy your Maxima. My last car was a modded 97 Lexus ES 300(suspension,rims and tires). My 2000 Maxima is alot more fun than my Lexus was. I have no regrets in lowering my car standards(thats what my friends and family said)

Welcome to the Org! I've been here a month, and am slowly absorbing all sorts of info about the 2000 SE that I recently purchased. My move was a lateral one...I picked up the Max to replace my totalled '00 Sebring Convertible.

Anyway, there's lots of knowledgeable people on the board, and most of them are willing to help out too. Good luck with your new car!

ya i have my intakes ready to ship and they provide a 10hp gain and 5tq. which is more then the stillen. also the CAI will choke you up up top like above 5k rpms. that's why i developed my own. and the 2k1 pr cai won't fit. the tubes have more breathers and holes. www.frankencar.com

Can you see yourself working at Honda? I wonder what the manager will think of a guy driving a Nissan selling a Honda :-)
Impossible to push the Accord I think?!
