Engine cranks, starts, immediately dies...unless I hit the throttle a few times. Then its fine till it sits.

Replaced w/OEM:

maf, coils, plugs, crank sencor (one near oil filter),cam sencor, iav, idle relearn, temp sensor, cleaned throttle body, new o2 sensors, new upper intake manifold gaskets...just ordered fuel filter hoping for the best...

any suggestions on what im missing? always running 93octane

car is a overcomplicated money pit.

Does sound like a possible fuel issue. Do you have any codes?

What codes did you have to begin with? If you replaced the IACV because it was bad then your ECU may have gone with it.This is a very common problem throughout the forums.Recheck your hoses. You replaced gaskets and its very easy to forget a hose or even connect them into the wrong location.

reason was, after reading myriads of forums I replaced the iac because it used to stall only when cold and you would have to sit there like a jackazz pumping the throttle till it warmed up. With didn't fix that issue.

What did fix the cold starts was replacing the upper intake manifold gasket. now it will at least start cold but have to pump the gas pedal.

I sprayed around the hoses with carb cleaner hoping to find a vac leak but did not.

could it be the battery? alternator checks out good. Maybe battery isn't holding charge not enough juice for that initial start up?

Maybe the ECTS is bad. This will cause a too lean fuel mixture when the engine is cold and a cold engine needs a rich mixture. Get an OBD code reader that will display the engine temperature and see what it says before you start the car, which should be whatever the outside temperature is.
