Help decribing this problem.

I recently noticed a problem with my 5.5 gen max. A couple days ago when I pulled up to a Red light my engine began to shake. I then began to start driving and the shaking still continued. My service engine soon light began to blink so I stopped by the side of the road. The shaking stopped and I was able to continue driving like nothing happened. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the idle or not.

Not sure what caused it but that's a misfire. Might have a coil or injector going bad.

Mos deff. Injectors
Most likely dirt or debri.
Harder to find source cause its not an electric fault.
Have you removed your fuel rail recently?

Sorry, I don't really know a lot about cars. I'm still learning but I'll see if I can take it to my mechanic and see what he says.

If it is a fuel-related issue, try pouring a bottle of Techron Concentrate Plus into your gas tank. Even if it doesn't work, it won't harm anything either.

There is a check engine light for a reason. It should of stored a misfire code in the history. You need to get that scanned first. Everything else such as replace this, do that is just a shot in the dark.

Help Describing this problem

The first thing to do is to hook up your vehicle to OBD Scan tool to determine the exact code error. I had a check engine light two days ago, I scanned it with my OBD, showed P00021 (Camshaft Position Timing Advanced Bank 2). I replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor on Bank 2 and the problem was solved. I advised you not to use any fuel additive or cleaner, even Nissan Owners Manual stated not to use any cleaner, beside 5th generation started to using electronic throttle.

Blinking SES = misfire = bad coil or plug. Injectors are rare that they die. My 4th gen has its original injectors, and they have yet to go away.
