'Trust' Strut Bar Shape and Size

Hey guys,
Im looking at the trust strut pics and cant tell if they are perfectly round like a flag pole or are they oblong, kinda flat on the sides and round on top. I see the courtesy one and its flat and looks a lot stronger than a thin rod.

Let me know.

I gonna buy either one soon!!!

Dr, Dont be TOO concerned with the strength of it. It mainly is more important of how it does the job. I mean all it does is keeps the Tops of the struts from flexing away or at each other. Even if the rod is only 1/2" thick, it still does the job of keeping it from flexing. You dont need a high strength or heavy duty piece of metal to that job. I mean alot of companies are making the FSTB bar out of 3/4" solid plexiglass for the "nice" look. It still gets the job done.

Just buy the bar that fits and is cheap. If you really want cheap, get a 4th gen bar and hack off the stock air box bracket that is in the way. Just like I did. $30 for the FSTB. Believe me it works. Ask Nauman (UMD_MaxSE).

Sweet

Dixit,
I was hoping you'd come through with some pics. It looks the 4th get bar is more sturdy too.

thanks.

Are you looking for pics of the bar close up? Cause I can get those if you want.

The bar by the way is about .75" thick and about 1.25" wide.

Aight for all of those that wanted the pics of the FSTB that I ghetto rigged onto my 2001 Maxima, here they are. They are nice and closeup so you can see how it works for me.

There is no rubbin onto the hood or messing with the Windshield Washers because it rests lower than the actual FSTB for a 5th gen. And yes it LOOKS like it is crushing some of the wires right underneath it, but believe me, it aint. It it just resting on it, not crushing them
