Today I changed my tail lights out. When I installed the bulbs into the sockets, both tail lights blew. Later on I discovered my dash lights are not working, drivers side rear bulb is blown again and all of my side marker lights are not working. Checked the DTRL fuse. And replaced it. Anyone have any other ideas what's happening?

 

Did you have to do any wiring changes when you changed the tail lights?

Side marker lights are on the same circuit as the tail lights, so if the tail lights aren't working, I wouldn't expect the side markers to work.

 

The tail lights are working.. just not with the DTRL. They work with the brake but not while driving

 

Don't have the DTRL here in the states, so I can't say much about that. What I do know is that the DTRL modules fail, usually from cold solder connections. But I've never heard of them messing with the tail lights.

 

So your original explanation was kinda vague to me....Were you changing out your taillight assemblies or tail light bulbs?

 

The taillights don't work on the DRL circuits. The ONLY thing that comes on as a DRL is the highbeams at lower wattage. Everything else stays off.
