P0174 and hesitation between 2k and 3k rpms
I have a 2003 maxima with my mods listed in my sig. I also have an O2 sim, and the car is tuned with an SAFC. The car is getting pretty unbearable to drive. When I accelerate under light throttle, the car hesitates around 2k rpms, and I have to press the gas pedal harder to get it to continue accelerating. When on the highway, it still hesitates all the way up to 3k rpms. I have to drive above 80 to get it to act fairly normal. I have to go over 50% throttle to make it accelerate normally. I did some research as well as got the opinion of my mechanic and both pointed me in the direction of the MAF. I swapped in an old MAF I had laying around and got the same symptoms. Got a brand new MAF from rock auto and still the same symptoms. The wideband is showing an AFR of around 19 or 20. My mechanic tested it and said the AFR is actually fine, but the wideband sensor is messed up, causing an incorrect reading.
Recent work done:
-Timing chain, tensioner and guides
-Fuel Pump
-Sending Unit
Also, my fuel gauge is messed up (that's why I got the pump and sending unit replaced, and it's still messed up).
Any suggestions? Are the hesitation, fuel gauge and AFR issues related?

New symptom: I started the car and running while cleaning snow off of it, and it just shut off. Went to start it again and it was difficult to start. I pumped the gas a few times and it was okay. Help!

Just got it scanned again, and the P0174 disappeared. Now I'm getting a P0302. Cylinder 2 misfire. It says it's either ignition system, fuel system fault, vacuum leak affecting one cylinder or engine mechanical condition

I got the injectors serviced before these hesitation symptoms started in an attempt to eliminate a rough idle (which didn't work). But yeah, it ran well after the service. I'd say maybe a few weeks later was when the hesitation started

I'm having the same exact problem with my car. I cant figure it out. My only other guess would be the safc. Im gonna cut my power wire to it and see what happens. In my tune I have the fuel corrected to like +40 and it still leans wayyyy out between 2-3k. Someone help us! Lol

I have a cai and a SSIM. stock injectors. I just unplugged my safc 2 and it through my car into limp mode... Now what?
Good news. I found a tsb for the problem. It calls for either replacing the maf or reprograming the ecu (only for 6sp). And I work at a nissan dealer so ill do the reprogram and let you know how it goes.
